Transport Entrepreneurs Urge Government to Resolve their Outstanding Issues

July 18: A delegation of the Federation of Nepali National Transport Entrepreneurs (FNNTE) has urged the government to come up with programmes for restoring the transport sector that has been badly affected by COVID-19 pandemic.    
During a meeting with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar on Saturday, the delegation congratulated Deuba for his appointment to the post of prime minister. The transport entrepreneurs urged the government to make COVID-19 vaccines accessible for the drivers and helpers and also requested to address other issues existing in the transport sector.    
President of the federation Yogendra Karmacharya, senior vice chairs Bijay Swar, Deepak Adhikari and Hari Sharan KC, general secretary Punya Prasad Sitaula, transport trade union leaders Dharma Raj Bhandari and Ramchandra Karki were among others present during the meeting, according to the state-owned national news agency RSS.
