Soaltee Westend Premier Bags National Award for Environment Friendly Approach

September 30: Soaltee Westend Premier, Nepalgunj has been conferred with the “Award for Environment Friendly and Sustainable Development” by the Government of Nepal on the occasion of the 41st World Tourism Day by Government of Nepal, Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Civil Aviation.

Soaltee Hotel, which is renowned for its high-end tourism products in Nepal since 1960, has taken another step by setting up Nepal’s state-of-the art eco-friendly hotel in Nepalgunj.

According to the five-star hotel, Soaltee Westend Premier, Nepalgunj is the first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver Category hotel in Nepal, certified by the US Green Building Council.

The hotel claimed that its outlet in Nepalgunj is designed in an eco-friendly way to reduce pollution and set very high standard for energy-saving.

“The Soaltee Westend sets a new reference point for what hotels in Nepal should be. With additional measures like insulation, temperature calibration, elevators with regen-technology, the hotel manages its electricity, temperature, water and waste that are ecological,” the hotel said in a statement, adding, “The hotel has several plants installed which helps in reducing its carbon footprint.”
