April 16: The government has appointed former secretary Sushil Ghimire as the executive chairman of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC). A meeting of the Council of Ministers on Tuesday took a decision to this effect, the national news agency RSS reported.    
Ghimire is a former secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.    
The post of NAC chairman was lying vacant since the last three months after the resignation of the then chairman Madan Kharel.

According to RSS, Ghimire was also in the team formed by Tourism Minister Yogesh Bhattarai for the study on management reform at NAC.
