Nepal Gas Industry Distributing LPGs

April 1: The Nepal Gas Industry (NGI) is preparing to distribute liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from Wednesday at six various locations.
The company said in a statement that it will distribute the LPG from six new locations instead from Balaju Industrial Estate. The company said it decided to decentralize its distribution centres to address the problems of the consumers, who have been complaining of difficulty in refilling their cylinders due to the lockdown imposed by the government.

Gokul Bhandari, executive director of Nepal Gas Industry, informed that the company will distribute LPGs for three consecutive days from six different location in Kathmandu.

“Considering the current crisis caused by coronavirus, consumers are not able to collect the LPGs from our main distribution center. That’s why we are distributing it from six various locations,” he informed.

He said that the company will distribute 560 LPG cylinders from two locations every day.

The company will distribute the LPGs under the supervision of Nepal Police. The LPGs were distributed at Chabahil and Bafal on Wednesday, and the company plans to distribute them at Baniyatar and Koteshwar on Thursday and Bhanimandal and Maharajgunj on Friday.   -- RSS
