December 3: Nepal Oli Corporation has increased the price of petroleum products. The new price has come into effect from December 3. The state-run oil monopoly increased Rs 2 per liter in petrol and diesel citing increase in price of petroleum product in the international market.
The new price of petrol is Rs 109 per litre and diesel is Rs 97 per litre after the price adjustment.
The old price was fixed some four months ago as the government decided to reduce the price after inaugurating the Nepal-India petrol pipeline.
Executive Director of NOC Surendra Kumar Poudel said that they decided not to raise the price before keeping in mind the festive season.
