Round Table Nepal Organises Flight Experience for underprivileged children

October 22: Round Table Nepal (RTN) organised the first ever 'Flight of Fantasy' event for underprivileged children. The main objective of this programme is to take the underprivileged kids from the schools adopted by Round Table Nepal on a fight journey so that they can experience the joy of flying.

Issuing a press statement, Round Table Nepal, a non-political organization working for community development, said this event was a joint initiative by Birgunj Round Table 3 and Kathmandu Round Table 1.

Altogether 12 children and one teacher from three schools built by Birgunj Round Table 3 boarded flight from Simara to Kathmandu in the morning and returned via an evening flight on the same day.

While in the capital city, they were given a tour of Pashupatinath Temple and Narayanhiti Palace Museum followed by lunch at KFC, Durbarmarg and fun-filled rides at Bhrikuti Mandap Fun Park, the statement added.

The students were selected on the basis of their academic records and their attendance in their respective classes. This programme aims to enable the kids to let their imagination soar high by giving them the joy of their first flight ever.
