MoU between Kumari Bank and Nepal Gas Industry

October 21: Kumari Bank Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nepal Gas Industries Pvt Ltd to make QR code payment system available to the gas dealers. Chief Executive Officer of the bank Surendra Bhandari and Executive Director of Nepal Gas Industries Gokul Bhandari signed the agreement amid a recent function.

According to the agreement, dealers and distributors of the gas industry will be able to deposit their revenue directly to Kumari Bank’s account by using the bank’s QR code based payment system. Likewise, Kumari Bank will be the official payment partner of the authorized distributors of Nepal Gas.

The agreement also mentions that the customers of the bank will receive Rs 50 cash back while purchasing Nepal Gas through electronic payment. However, the customers will get the discount only if they pay through the bank’s QR based payment mode. According to the bank, this discount scheme has come into effect from October 18.

Currently, the bank has 107 branches, 94 ATMs, and three extension counters across the country.
