October 17: Former board member of Sahayogi Bikas Bank Dipendra Kuamr Yadah has been arrested on charge of deceit. District Police Office, Dhanusha arrested him from his own house at Balawa Tole on Wednesday.

Yadav has been accused of transferring land of one Lal Babu Rauniyar in his name to provide loan. Rauniyar has filed a case of deceit against Yadav at the District Court, Dhanusha.

Yadav was taken into custody after the court issued an arrest warrant against him.

According to police, Rauniyar had received loan of Rs 5 million from Yadav by transferring his 5 kattha land in Yadav’s name. But even after returning Rs 7.3 million including interest, Yadav refused to return Rauniyar’s land.
