October 16: In the wake of the recent vandalism at Janakpur Airport, the Airlines Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN) has warned of suspending all flights to and from Janakpur.

AOAN has said it will halt flights to Janakpur if the government does not ensure safety of the airline operators.

The umbrella body of airline operators issued the after Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJPN) lawmaker Pramod Sah vandalized a counter of Buiddha Air at Janakpur Airport recently. Sah has admitted to the misdeed but defended his action saying that he resorted to such means as he was infuriated by the delay in flight.
