Ninth Global Conference of NRNA Kicks off

October 15: The ninth global conference of Non Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) kicked off in the capital on Tuesday. President Bidya Devi Bhandari inaugurated the three-day conference, which will also select a new leadership.

Around 2000 participants from 81 different countries are participating in the event, according to the organizers.

The conference will discuss on topics like Visit Nepal 2020, the association’s upcoming schedule, investment of NRNs in Nepal, encouraging industries and enterprises among others, informed Bhushan Ghimire, spokesperson of NRNA.

So far, two candidates have announced their candidacies for the post of NRNA chairman. Kumar Panta, who resides in Germany, and Kul Acharya from the UK are all set to compete with each other for the top post.

The conference will conclude on October 17.
