‘Government Willing to Solve the Problems of Entrepreneurs’

September 26: Secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies Dr Baikuntha Aryal has stated that the ministry is willing to solve the problems of traders and entrepreneurs.

Secretary Aryal made such remarks during a meeting with a delegation led by the President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce Rajesh Kaji Shrestha. He said that the ministry is willing to revise all the problematic issues including taxation, consumer protection act, black marketing act, and money laundering act.

On the occasion, NCC President Rajesh Kaji Shrestha opined that the industries have not been able to flourish due to the high amount of tax. He suggested that the ministry lower the rate of tax to encourage investment and to increase national revenue.

Shrestha further advised the ministry to plan to gradually replace imported items with national products and to increase export.
