September 12: Central Plaza, a five-star hotel based in Kohalpur, has announced a special package for Rara tour during Dashain, Tihar and Chhath.

The hotel said that it announced the package to facilitate domestic as well as foreign tourists to visit the beautiful lake during the festive holidays and to promote the Visit Nepal Year campaign.

The hotel has already organized New Delhi- Rara car tour to promote Rara.

The package announced for the upcoming season offers special discount.

Under this package, it costs Rs 16,500 to Rs 20,000 per person for visiting Rara by vehicle and hiring a guide. Likewise, travelling to Rara by foot for a six-night, seven-day tour with camp fire and food and accommodation costs between Rs 22,500 to Rs 25,000 while the cost of traveling through air for three-night and four-day stay is Rs 35,000 to Rs 42,000.

Rara lake, which is the biggest lake of Nepal, lies in Mugu district of Karnali Province. The 10.8 square kilometer lake is renowned for its changing colour.

Besides a variety of flora including Rhododendron, the Rara National Park also boasts of endangered fauna species like red panda and other animals and birds including spiny blabber, Himalayan black bear, deer, musk deer, snow leopard, lophophorus among others.

This place, which is considered a heaven on earth, also welcomes Siberian migratory birds during summer season when the temperature is favourable.
