eSewa has Customer Base of 2 Million

July 22: Nepal’s first digital payment gateway, eSewa, has announced that its customer base has reached 2 million.

The company said in a statement that the number of users has increased as more people have started using smartphones and internet for financial transaction.

The statement added that the surge in the number of eSewa account holders is also due to the ‘Refer and Earn’ campaign initiated by the company.

The company which was established a decade ago in 2009 said that more than 1.3 million people use its application for digital payment.
