Laxmi Cares Organises Cycle Rally to Promote Go Green Campaign

April 12: Laxmi Cares, an NGO established and managed by the staff of Laxmi Bank, organised the 11th Annual Laxmi Cares Mountain Bike Rally last Saturday, April 6, to promote its “Go Green” campaign.

Laxmi Cares said in a statement that the cycling event this year was held in Pokhara along a 13-km stretch from Pokhara Industrial Estate to Waterfront Resort. According to the organization, more than 200 participants took part in the cycling organized to promote Go Green and visit Nepal 2020.

The statement added that the event concluded with a live concert by Mukti and Revival, cycle stunt, local ‘Jhaaki’ performances and many more fun-filled activities.

This annual event is aimed at creating awareness and raising funds to assist Laxmi Cares’ Ujyaalo Abhiyaan project which aims to continue in its journey to light various sites in Nepal with historical, architectural and heritage values or any other charitable causes.

In the previous years, Ujyaalo Abhiyaan installed solar lights at Bagmati bridge, Patan Durbar Square and Bhadrakali-Singha Durbar, Gadhimai Temple of Bara, Chandeshwori Temple of Banepa, among other places.  

This event was sponsored by Laxmi Bank and co-sponsored by Prime Life Insurance and Redbull. The event was also supported by Gents Park, Terra Motors, Yeti Airlines, Darbur Nepal and CIWEC Hospital.
