ANDRITZ Customer Day Nepal 2018

December 12: International technology Group ANDRITZ organized its third Customer Day for hydropower in Kathmandu on Tuesday, December 11. Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Barsha Man Pun, and Austrian Ambassador to India and Nepal, Brigitte Öppinger-Walchshofer, jointly inaugurated the event. Minister Pun reportedly commended ANDRITZ for its commitment and contribution to Nepal’s hydropower sector.

ANDRITZ said in a statement that it has been a part of Nepal’s growth story for decades now.

ANDRITZ said it is currently implementing the prestigious Upper Tamakoshi Project (456 MW), Middle Bhotekoshi Project (102 MW) and others projects. It is also associated with the Kulekhani Project, Middle Marsyangdi Project and Chilime Project which have been in operation for over a decade now.

In his welcome address, Josef M Ullmer, regional executive for India, South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand said, “ANDRITZ is proud to be associated with Nepalese hydropower sector for over decades and looks forward to deepen association on achieving goal of 10,000 MW of capacity.”

With its growing commitment in Nepal, ANDRITZ also opened an office in Kathmandu in 2017 and leads a qualified team for sales, services and project management in Nepal.

The company claimed it contributes 144 MW of operating capacity electricity and currently executes 757 MW of the total 2,000 MW of under construction projects.
