Shree Airlines adds another Bombardier CRJ700 aircraft

June 20: Shree Airlines, a private domestic airline of Nepal, has added its fourth Bombardier CRJ (Canadian Regional Jet) series aircraft to its fleet.  The CRJ 700 aircraft landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday, June 18. With the new arrival, Shree Airlines now owns two CRJ 700 aircraft and two CRJ200 aircraft, informed Anil Manadhar, marketing manager of Shree Airlines.

CRJ 700 and CRJ 200 series aircraft are 72 and 52 seater passenger aircraft respectively manufactured in Canada.

Shree Airlines is currently operating flights from Kathmandu to Biratnagar, Bhairahawa, Dhangadhi and Nepalgunj by operating two CRJ 200 and a CRJ 700 aircraft. The airline company plans to operate the fourth aircraft in its regular destination after receiving AOC approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).

Similarly, the airline has also announced to start its flight to Rajbiraj from June 24. The airline had previously conducted a test flight at the airport with a CRJ 200 series aircraft a month ago.
