June 20: Ramesh Kumar Bhattarai has been appointed as acting CEO of United Insurance Company (Nepal). A meeting of the board of directors of the company on June 15 took the decision to appoint Bhattarai to the post effective from June 18. Prior to his appointment, Bhattarai held the post of deputy general manager in the same company. Bhattarai holds an MBA degree from Tribhuvan University and has 19 years of experience working in the insurance sector.
