NT Supports Different Organisations

April 25: Nepal Telecom has supported different organizations in various parts of the country on the occasion of its 14th anniversary. The state-owned company provided blankets to different hospitals and also set up information communication technology (ICT) center at different community schools across the nation under its corporate social responsibility.

The company distributed 25 sets of blankets each to Biratnagar Hospital of Koshi, Birgunj of Narayani, Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital of Bagmati, Nepalgunj of Bheri , and Mahendranagar of Mahakali zones. The company said it would provide blankets to the hospital of Lumbini Zone as well.  The company's Managing Director Kamini Rajbhandari handed over 25 sets of blankets to the director of Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital, Dr Rishikesh Narayan Shrestha . The blankets will be utilized for the patients of the hospital.

Likewise, the company also delivered 25 sets of blankets to the residents of Udayapurgadi Rural Municipality.

The company has planned to establish ICT center at community schools in six districts and other earthquake-affected districts. NT has already set up ICT centers in 11 earthquake-affected districts. The company has almost finished establishing the center in the community schools of Lamjung, Dadelhura, Udayapur,  Jumla and Rukum.

Meanwhile, Dr Rajbhandari inaugurated the ICT center at Shanti Niketan Secondary School under the support of the company. The company also provided five sets of computer, five sets of web cameras, five sets of headphones and one set of three-in-one printer to the center. For the utilization of the materials, the company even offered one line WiMAX data connection, wifi router, and ODU. Similarly, the company has also arranged 30 GB of monthly data free of cost for two years.
