15th Handicraft Trade Fair to kick off Friday

November 16: The Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal (FHAN), with an aim of promoting Nepali handicraft products in both domestic as well as international market, is organising the ‘15th Handicraft Trade Fair’ in Kathmandu.

The exhibition will be organised from Friday to November 21, in collaboration with Trade and Export Promotion Center (TEPC) and the Ministry of Commerce (MoC).

Organising a press meet on Wednesday, President of FHAN Dharma Raj Shakya said that this kind of exhibition will help promote Nepali handicraft products in international market.

“Nepali handicraft products have a huge market potential in the international arena,” he said.

The organisers have expected that the five-day long exhibition will record transaction of almost Rs 100 million. Handicraft entrepreneurs from 25 different districts will showcase different products through 200 stalls in the event.

The organisers claimed that buyers from 35 different countries like China, Japan, Bhutan, Pakistan, India, among others will visit the exhibition. The exhibition is expected to have a footfall of almost 200,000 visitors.
