FNCCI Starts Working as per the New Federal Structure

July 24: Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) announced that is has already adopted a new working style to suit the provincial structure in the new federal set-up. FNCCI made such announcement during a meeting organized to review the new executive body’s 100 days in office on July 23.

FNCCI claimed that is has made various reforms in 100 days in office and assured to make the federation more effective in the days to come.

The new executive body elected by the general assembly of FNCCI on April 11 said it has been working for the institutional development of FNCCI as well as for administrative reforms, policy reforms and to expand the financial, political and diplomatic networks.

Speaking on the occasion, FNCCI President Bhavani Rana said that the newly elected body has been working hand-in-hand with the government with a professional approach for the development of industries within the country.

FNCCI also announced that it will organize Nepal-India Investment Seminar in September in Kathmandu in coordination with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). FNCCI President Rana also informed about their plans of establishing a unit for promoting Nepal-India investment and business with the help of Indian Embassy. Likewise, cross-border trade and tourism expo in collaboration with the government of West Bengal is also in the cards, informed Rana.

FNCCI introduces hotline service

FNCCI has started a 24-hour hotline service to address the grievances of entrepreneurs from across the country. President Bhavani Rana inaugurated the hotline service during the same function. Businessmen from all over the country can dial FNCCI’s toll-free number 16600100018 to express their problems as well as to get any information.
