Royal Enfield Himalayan Unveiled

September 23: Royal Enfield has introduced new Himalayan motorbike in the Nepali Market amid a program on September 22. The two-wheeler built for adventure and touring in the rugged terrains is powered by LS 410 engine. Issuing a press statement, the comapny said that the superior off­-road capabilities makes the motorbike efficient for riding both through potholed urban jungles as it does for treacherous mountain trails.

“The motorcycle is well suited for daily commuting, city cruising as well as for long distance leisure riding. With its ground­ up design, the Himalayan is a simple and capable to go­ anywhere. Royal Enfield’s new Himalayan is available at a price of NRS 561,000 in Kathmandu,” Shaji Koshy, Head – Sales, Service and Spares at Royal Enfield said in the program.

Commenting of the design of the Himalayan, Pradeep Mathew, Project leader­ Himalayan, Royal Enfield said, “Himalayan is built on a rugged duplex split cradle frame designed and developed by Harris Performance, and is stable as well as agile in equal parts. A strong mono shock rear suspension with linkage coupled with 220 mm ground clearance allows for longer travel and delivers a smoother ride experience regardless of the terrain. Also the optimal wheel size combination ensures better control while riding over rocks and ruts. Needless to say the Himalayan will enable both the seasoned riders as well as riding enthusiasts to explore more with just one motorcycle”.

Royal Enfield Himalayan comes fitted with dual­purpose tyres that lend a confident grip and performance across a range of conditions. In addition to complete braking control, the 300mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes helps to reduce braking effort. It is available in two colour options, granite and snow and is open for booking at Royal Enfield’s exclusive distributor stores in Naxal and Balkumari.
