May 24: Phalano Luga, a Nepali clothing brand, has been appointed as a distributor and licensee for some foreign iconic apparel brands. “Phalano has got the licensee and distributorship of Angry Birds 2.0, The Angry Birds Movie, Kung Fu Panda, Ice Age, Pokemon, Beebop, Joshua Tree, Chhota Bheem and the European football clubs like Real Madrid and AC Milan,” informs the company in a press statement.

“An agreement has been signed in between Phalano Luga Pvt Ltd, Woodstock Merchandising and Dream Theatre in Mumbai, India for the distributorship and to prospect and present business opportunities for Nepali consumer products and promotion,” reads the statement.

With this partnership, Phalano Luga has added international brands to its existing Nepali brand in its portfolio.  The new apparel products will be available in Phalano Luga's outlets in Pulchowk Lalitpur and Sundara Kathmandu from July, 2016.  “For our customers' reach, our initial focus will be on franchise building and retail expansion in the major cities of the country," says Rajesh KC, political cartoonist and the founder and MD of Phalano Luga.
