NARA Organising Rafting Mahotsav

May 24: Nepal Agent of Rafting Association (NARA) is organizing Rafting Mahotsav on May 28, Saturday at the Trishuli River. According to the association’s Chairman Chandra Bahadur Dahal, NARA is organising the Mahotsav to mark its 28th anniversary. “The program aims to promote domestic tourism,” he says. The rafting event will start from Belekhu of Dhading ending at Malekhu.

NARA is providing transport facility to the participants. The one day trip will cost Rs 2,000 per person including food. More than 700 tourists will be participating in the event. NARA expects that the Mahotsav’s expenditure will be around Rs 1.6 million.

Rafting has become a popular adventure sports in the recent years. According to Dahal, Bhotekoshi, Trisuli and Karnali have become popular rafting destinations, including 16 other rivers of the country. He informed that rafting events can be done from one to 12 days continuously.
