September 2: Ncell Axiata Limited has bagged the award for being ‘Nepal’s Fastest Mobile Network’. Ookla, a global leader in mobile and broadband network intelligence, handed over the award to Ncell for January-June 2022.

A statement issued by Ncell says that the company achieved a speed score of 17.16, with median download speeds of 17.31 Mbps and median upload speeds of 9.26 Mbps, securing the best speed in the market.

“We are delighted that our continuous efforts to connect Nepal with high-speed mobile broadband have been recognised as the ‘Fastest Mobile Network in Nepal’ by the global leader in speed testing,” statement quoted Andy Chong, CEO of Ncell as saying.

“The award is a testimony that we deliver what we commit to our customers. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all stakeholders for their trust and for helping us deliver the fastest mobile data service,” he added.
