NOC Slashes Prices of Petroleum Products

June 3: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has slashed the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene by Rs 10 per litre effective from June 3. 
With the price adjustment, petrol will now cost Rs 170 per litre while diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 153 a litre each.    
The government had directed the NOC to adjust the price equal to infrastructure tax on petroleum products after the price hike in the last few weeks badly affected people of all walks of life.    
The NOC, however, said that the prices of cooking gas (LPC) and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) will remain unchanged. A present, the price of a cooking gas cylinder is Rs 1,800 while the price of aviation turbine fuel for domestic flights is Rs 166 per litre.
