NMB Bank collaborates with CellPay for Digital Payment

December 25: NMB Bank Limited has partnered with CellPay, an NRB-licensed payment service provider, to promote digital payment services in Nepal to all of its customers.

The bank’s Chief Business and Strategy Officer Sudesh Upadhyaya and Managing Director of Cellcom Pvt Ltd Pawan Pradhan signed the partnership agreement on behalf of their respective organisations amid a recent function.

As per the understanding, CellPay will now provide digital payments and fund transfer services through web and mobile channel to help make payments directly from the bank account.

CellPay said in a joint statement that it has been developed considering various international standard security mechanisms to make the payment safe and reliable. The payments done through CellPay is made in ‘Real Time’.

“Customers can easily make real time payments for telecom services, electricity, TV, Internet bill, restaurants and fund transfer from one to another bank, domestic remittance, insurance payment, EMI payments, share payments, P2P, P2B, B2P, B2B and other services,” the statement added.

Customers can enjoy these services through any of the partnered bank with CellPay. CellPay app is available in both Google Playstore and Apple’s Appstore.

NMB bank was established in 1996 and has been serving its customer through 176 branches, nine extension counters, 249 branchless banking units along with 135 ATMs.
