December 22: Western Union money transfer company has announced the winner of its lucky draw under its “Dashain Tihar Ko Saugat” consumer promotion scheme.

The company has declared Kalpana Shahi, who made the transaction from CG Finco, as the bumper lucky draw winner and was handed over Rs 1 milion.

DGM of CG Finco’s Customer service center in Kamaladi, Nar Bahadur KC, handed over the amount to Shahi. The winner Shahi reportedly said she would utilize the prize money in productive sectors and will remember Western Union money transfer for her lifetime.

According to Western Union, the promotion scheme was launched in October, during the festive season of Dashain, Tihar and Chhath. Ten lucky customers each got a chance to win Rs 25000 every week under the scheme. All qualifying transactions during the promotion period were entered in the bumper lucky draw, Western Union said in a statement.
