Government to Support Entrepreneurs Investing in Electric Vehicles: PM

April 12: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged entrepreneurs to invest in factories to produce electric vehicles. He made such request claiming that the government has prepared industry-friendly environment needed for expanding businesses in the country.

Speaking at the 53rd anniversary of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI), PM Oli said that the government is ready to help the private sector in setting up factories of electric vehicles.

“A handful of media mocked me when I talked about electric vehicle. But I assert that there is a huge potential in this sector,” said PM Oli.

“The government is even ready to amend the law if it is required to set up industries of electric vehicles,” he added.

Oli further said that the government is getting accustomed to the ‘brake, gear and accelerator’ of the new federal system.

According to him, the new system of governance is like learning to drive for the first time.
